Jace's Train Wreck

Call me cruel, but Jace's meltdowns crack me up. They are far and few between, and they usually pop up when he's beyond tired. And they typically are caused by a toy acting in defiance of his wishes.

I was recently able to get one of his infamous temper tantrums on camera, and it was definitely one for the books.

Please notice our golden, Sienna, in the background giving zero you know whats....

Total train wreck :)

Andrea's Brunch and Bubbly

We recently had the pleasure of celebrating Andrea's upcoming nuptials by throwing her a "Brunch and Bubbly" bridal shower. A few of my favorite gals had a blast hosting the occasion.

From the champagne bar with the labeled glasses to the delicious deviled eggs, everything turned out adorable. Everything that is, except for my oversized body right now....

Can't wait to celebrate the couple in two weeks :)

Cameron's Diaper Party

Poor Cameron...my second child...my second SON in a two year period. There's not too much I need to get that sweet little boy. I've bought him a "coming home from the hospital outfit" and I plan on buying a new stroller that will fit both my kids.  That's it. He doesn't need anything. So when two of my best friends, JDay and Camille, offered to throw a baby shower...I was at a bit of a loss. Until we realized that we could have a...

DIAPER PARTY!

While this sounds super lame, we actually had a blast and it was probably way more beneficial than any shower I could imagine. Cameron has diapers on diapers on diapers. So exciting and super convenient!

Mega props to Camille and JDay. They exceeded my expectations of how cute a diaper party could really be.

We had a great turnout, and Jace loved playing with the other kids in attendance.

If you look hard enough, you'll notice one of those big boxes doesn't contain diapers. Our dear friend, Ryan, showed up to the party so proud of himself. He bragged about how he found 800 diapers on sale at Sam's for $17. Come to find out, they were wipes....still super useful. We'll forgive him!

The best part though?  Camille and JDay hid a sweet little present for me in the diaper cake.

33 more days and that sucker is all mine :)

Happy Birthday, Wade and Eve!

Last weekend, we got to celebrate Wade and Eve's first birthday in Maynardville! Kristina is one of my very favorite work friends, and we were so excited for her when she delivered her twins last fall. She had a "rodeo" theme birthday for her babies. Jace had an absolute blast playing and flirting with the pretty girls.

Kristina also had a special "arts and crafts" section of the party where the kids got to make their own cowboy hats.

Let's just hope Jace is good at sports or something...

Happy Birthday, Wade and Eve!!

Myrtle Beach

Over the Labor Day holiday, we decided to hit up Myrtle Beach with the Saraceni family. I'm not going to lie, my expectations for a fun trip were low. I'm fat, I'm sober, I'm sweaty, and Myrtle Beach's reputation is a little less than glamorous.

Let me tell you, I LOVE it when I'm proven wrong. We had an absolute blast. We missed a hurricane by one day and the weather was PERFECT. Sunny, no humidity, and a perfect ocean breeze. Jace was still scared of the ocean, but he loved playing in the murky hurricane puddles on the beach. Whatever keeps him happy...

Two solid beach days. My absolute favorite part of the beach trip was the airbrushed shirts. Call me a redneck, but that was sooooo much fun. I will proudly be sporting my tee around Knoxville.

We also succeeded in the nearly impossible: we wore Jace out

I'd go back in a heartbeat :)
