Memorial Day Weekend

This long weekend was just what the doctor ordered. We went out to eat for every meal, we went to the pool every single day, we napped, we went furniture shopping, and I even read a book. On top of all that, the weather was beautiful.

We did manage to make it out to a dock party on Sunday. Unfortunately, this sober preggers only lasted a whopping hour before the heat and music got to be too much #partypooper
Jace had a blast for the short time he was there.

We also had lots of fun with Mr. Bad Influence himself, Uncle Petey, at the pool.

Who needs toys when you have empty beer cans...

Happy Memorial Day :)

Easter 2016

So during my blogging hiatus, we enjoyed a fun Easter in Greenville, SC. Jace got to participate in his very first Easter Egg Hunt in Grammy's backyard. He got about 10 minutes of entertainment before he was ready to move on to the next activity, but it sure was fun while it lasted.

We enjoyed a wonderful church visit on Sunday morning, and Jace received a great basket from the Easter Bunny.

 Happy Belated Easter :)

Jace's 15 Month Visit

Earlier this week, little man had his 15 month doctor visit. I've never seen a kid so excited to be anywhere. He was running all over the office like it was freaking Disney World. Ugh...Josh and I are in for it.

Don't let this one calm picture fool you...he was plotting his next crime.

So little man weighed in at 26 pounds, 6 ounces (77%). The shocker was his height! Little man is 33.75 inches which puts him in the 97th percentile! He does not get that from his momma. In fact, he gets nothing from his momma. He looks like Josh. He is "go-with-the-flow" like Josh. He might get his fat feet from me...

His favorite food is a grilled cheese sandwich followed closely by spaghetti. He won't touch anything sweet. He loves imitating animal sounds and touching his nose. He also loves giving high fives and laughing like crazy...even at himself. His favorite sport to play is basketball, and he still loves Mickey Mouse and Family Guy.

He wears 18 month clothes and size 6 shoes. One of his favorite hobbies is to run around in circles and yell "BOOM." He finally has a semi-normal bedtime (around 9:30). The doctor got on to us about still giving him a bottle, so operation: sippy cup has begun. I'm sure my family will be just delightful to be around during this next week or so......

We simply adore our big ol' bed-headed Jacer-pants :)

J-Day's Fiesta

One of my favorite ladies celebrated her birthday this past Saturday. After a long, drawn-out struggle to decide on dinner plans, we finally settled on tacos at the house. The group quickly banded together and within a matter of hours, we threw J-Day quite the birthday fiesta!

It was an absolutely gorgeous day for some outdoor fiesta activities.

The highlight of the party was the pinata. We had a little bit of a malfunction when J-Day busted Josh's golf club instead of the pinata - but she successfully beat it down with a broomstick. She was tickled to death when she realized we filled it with airplane bottles :)

Overall, another successful shin-dig!

Feliz cumpleanos, J-Day!

2016 Asheville Show

Every spring, Josh and I have our big annual work event in Asheville, NC. Thankfully, my sister and mom live about an hour away, so they can watch our sweet Jace during that week.

I thought he was going to have it made with a fun-filled week of play. Instead, they put my 15 month old to work:

Poor kid.  After all of his unpaid chores were completed, they did actually have a little bit of time for fun:

Meanwhile, Josh and I enjoyed our time at the Grove Park Inn in Asheville. What a GORGEOUS, historic hotel. If Josh and I were the romantic type, I would totally make him take me back here.

We picked Jace back up on Mother's Day, and put him back to work selling single-wides.

Kid's a natural :)
