This past week, my sweet baby Jace turned four whopping months old. I can already tell that the fun is just beginning. He smiles, fusses, tries to laugh, pouts, and scowls. I am loving all the personality. Bring it.
He had his four month appointment this morning. Little man is 25 inches long (60%). He is 16 pounds, 15 ounces (85%), and his big ol' noggin is somewhere in the 75th percent. His favorite food continues to be Similac, BUT the doctor said we can start introducing solids which I am soooo excited to do. I am waiting for his Dad to get back in town from his work trip, and we will start the munching on Friday.
Baby Jace is starting to do some neat tricks. He rolls from back to front like a champ. He has no interest in rolling front to back. He loves to stretch his arms. And I think his favorite thing in the world is his exersaucer. He is starting to show interest in toys, and his two favorite are his monkey and his crinkle toy. He still sleeps in his bassinet right beside Mom or Dad, and he even sleeps through the night a couple of times per week.
He continues to look like and act mostly like his Dad (except for he is totally a morning person and we can't figure that one out). He has big blue eyes, chubby thighs, dirty blonde hair, and faint eyebrows. He loves to watch the TV, and we have noticed a particular interest in baseball, golf, and the Simpsons. He can't take his eyes off of American Dad as I type this....
He lights up our lives. Even when he grunts (which is basically all of the time).
Even in these four short months, I can't imagine how I ever lived life without this little monster. We love his big personality. We love watching him grow. We love watching him learn from the world.
We just love you more than words, sweet Baby Jace :)
