Sienna Turns Nine

Our sweet golden girl turned nine years old this summer (we think). Sienna is the sweetest, most lovable, and most patient soul I know. We hope she enjoyed her little chicken and veggies celebration.

A few sweet facts about Sienna:
-She was adopted by Josh when he lived in Arizona. We don't officially know her birthday or age.
-She had a really bad case of pancreatitis a couple of years ago, so she isn't allowed to eat fatty people food anymore.
-Her favorite thing to do (besides eat) is chase and catch tennis balls.
-She loves cold weather (so do I girlfriend. so do I).
-She jumps on her hind legs every single morning right before breakfast.
-She squints her eyes when she gets in trouble, which is very rare.

Happy birthday, sweet girl. We love you so much :)

Giraffes and Camels, Oh My!

Have I mentioned how much I love our nanny? She recently took Jace to his first trip to the zoo. While I would have loved to share this experience with him, I just cherish that he gets to do these fun activities with someone special. Lindsey sent me a few pictures, and it looks like he had an amazing time!

Feeding giraffes and riding camels...what a great day :)

Upstate New York - Saturday

We spent a rainy, dreary half day on Saturday, and it was glorious. Y'all-I'm not sure if it's the preggers hormones or my age or just my overall demeanor lately, but I LOVE rain and clouds. I let Jace spend the morning running around naked in the rain.  He had a blast:

Lord, he gets those chubby thighs from his momma :)

Jace spent the last little bit getting as much grumpy-time as he could.

We miss you, Grumpy and Gege. Can't wait until next summer :)

Upstate New York - Friday

A good portion of our Friday in Upstate New York was spent running some errands. We went to lunch, we checked out some antique stores, and we explored downtown Hammondsport.

Jace was a great sport about taking family photos (insert huge eyeroll).

Once we got back to the farm, his spirits lifted. He helped Grumpy do all sorts of chores!

Life on the farm is the life for Jace :)

Upstate New York - Thursday

Last Thursday, we made big plans to spend the day down at Keuka Lake. For all you southerners out there reading this, this is one of the few ways those Yankees know how to outdo us. Their lakes are gorgeous. They are natural, they are clean, they are clear, they are deep, and they are heavenly. They know better than to throw beer cans and bottles and cigarette butts in the water.

It was a cloudy day when we went last week (which was perfectly fine with preggers). Jace had mixed emotions this year about the lake.

We're still working on water love.

We continued the day by exploring the farm and riding the 4-wheeler.

That evening, we celebrated my nephew, Chase, turning 16. Talk about time flying...we enjoyed a wonderful shish kabob dinner followed by presents and cake.

Happy Birthday, Chase :)
