Y'all, we had BIG ambitions to put together Baby-Mo's crib and dresser this weekend. I was so excited that I'd have this great post showing off our nursery-in-progress. I even left work at like 4:59 on Friday (sorry, bossman) and rushed over to Crib n Carriage to pick it up in the pouring down rain. I dragged the boxes into the garage all by myself, and Josh and I had this great time-frame and plan to put it together. And lo and behold...this is where we stand as of Monday evening:
Yep...still boxed up in the garage. Oh and Patrick...that's your bocce ball set that you'll probably never see again. Thanks :)
So instead...I'm devoting this post to my fat fingers. Yep...the same ones we all get after too much Chinese food. While I would like to claim that I'm just retaining a whole lot of water...the reality is, in fact, that I've just spent the last five months eating too much Chinese food (among other kinds of food).
Early on, I had several previously experienced preggers give me a heads up that I should probably go cubic zirconia ring shopping before it's too late. Well...as of last week, it was a big-time struggle to take off my ring...and then you could see the indentions and all...so it was time. Sadly, I only got to wear my wedding band for less than four months (yea, don't do the math guys...). I decided Josh had spent enough money on bling in the last year, so I headed over to T K Wheeler and bought myself a beautiful cubic zirconia and sterling silver preggers ring. In fact, the jeweler reassured my purchase with horror stories of preggers that waited too long and had to have their precious wedding rings cut off. Yikes, Josh would not be happy...
I have to say...I'm going to be awfully suspicious of any engagement rings that I see going forward. That CZ looks pretty legit. The sterling silver band feels a bit lighter, but hey...I'm on to you boys that buy the fake stuff. Not cool...leave that to the preggers please.
So...I also bought a preggers band to go with the ring. Aaaand this is the best shot I could get:
Yep...and for a better idea of where that actually is...let me show you:
Somewhere between a concrete slab and our deck. Totally impossible to access without tearing our deck completely apart. THIS is why I can't have nice things...
Long story short...we had people over on Saturday night (less than 12 hours after my big purchase)...we fed them several grape-bombs...I was showing off my CZ to a grape-bomb drinker...and it was accidently dropped by said grape-bomb drinker...and it slow-motion bounced several times until it fell perfectly upright through one of the slots.
Look, if this is the worst of my pregger-troubles, I am A-Okay with that. Yes, Keith, I still love you and we can totally still be friends. No grudges :)
Also...on a happy note...I got to experience this on Saturday:
Can't wait to put one up at work :)
