Bubbaloo's Birthday Bash

Last week we got to celebrate a very special day for my sweet, baby boy.  And no, I'm not talking about Jace...I'm talking about my lovable Bubbaloo, duh. We celebrated sweet Bubbaloo's fourth 28th birthday!

Bubbaloo was forced into my life almost four years ago when my nephew, Chase, brought him home from the neighbor's house to show him off to my sister and brother-in-law.  I was living by myself in Birmingham, AL at the time - and Kara sent me a text with a picture that basically said I needed to come visit them that weekend to pick up my new puppy. Although I am a huge dog-lover, I was still reluctant to take on that kind of responsibility...but I visited anyway...and how could I possibly say no to his sweet lil face.

Bubbaloo's border-collie mix mother was rescued from the country roads of Georgia and brought back to Greenville, SC by Kara's neighbor.  During their first vet visit, they discovered she was a preggers.  ELEVEN puppies later, they had some dogs to get rid of. Come to find out, there were three different absentee fathers that caused this whole mess. Based on genetic testing from Bubbaloo's twin brother, we discovered that his father was some sort of pit bull mix.

Anyway...without going on and on and on about how my dog is so much better than your dog (get over it...he is), I'll just post some pictures from the evening. We fed the pups a special organic chicken and veggie dinner (Sienna has diet restrictions that have severely cramped poor Bubbaloo's lifestyle):

Poor Sienna also has limitations on the kinds of toys she's allowed to play with, so we ended up giving Bubbs a blanket, tennis balls, Science Diet treats, and some kong toys that he'll never be able to chew up.

It was a great celebration for my fur-babies. Happy 28th Birthday, Bubbaloo! Time to get a job and a 401k :)
