Clearly my resolution for 2015 was NOT to stay on top of the blog. Actually, I didn't make a resolution. As I think about it, my only real goal for the year is to maintain my sanity. And maybe to drink a crap-ton of mimosas. I'd say the two kinda go hand-in-hand.
Anyway...I was delighted to ring in the New Year with a handful of my favorite friends. We opted for a low-key late dinner in the Knoxville Sunsphere! While the structure was originally built for the 1982 World's Fair, it might be more commonly known by you young'uns for its presence during a mid-90s Simpsons episode. And no, we didn't see any wigs...
As the sober preggers, it was my responsibility to safely chauffeur the hubs and our good friends, Petey, Patrick, and Bunny. I thought this would be a fairly simple task - but by the end of the night, I seriously considered strapping Petey in the trunk, parking the car in the middle of the train tracks, and turning the child safety locks on. Just kidding, Petey :)
All kidding aside, I had a fantastic evening. Even though it was a frigid, frigid end to 2014...

Dinner was meh. I'd give it a 3. The atmosphere was an 8.5. But the company was definitely a 10 :)
I barely made it to midnight...and I appreciate my friends for allowing me to tag-along even though I was being a total party pooper. I really, really love these people:
